First off, this only pertains to citizens of the united states, or, according to our constitution, citizens of 50 completely different countries. I'm going to basically break this down into simple, easy to understand terms. I will tell you everything I say is found directly in this article below...

Basically, we are all citizens of our country on our own wish, says the constitution.
The constitution says every state is it's own country.
The constitution also says our allegiance is to the states, specifically the one you were born in.
This is how the Civil War was started. As states, we disagreed.
The south was their own country for that time. The name "Rebels" is wrong, as they were not rebelling from their country, they were their own. (Just a little useless knowledge, it never hurt anyone)
The 14th Amendment says upon birth in any state, you are a citizen of that state, ALL people not just blacks.
That means we are ALL citizens on birth.
Additionally, the constitution says we may only vote as a means of rebelling.
Therefore, if you vote, you are either rebelling against the current government (treason), or not voting to overthrow the current government (violating the constitution).
READ THE ARTICLE. It will make more sense! Trust me!
