RIP PICHU.
(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); I already had an idea as to how much religion has been sold to the public in order to draw them into the different religions. Ways they have done with is by stating by not doing this, you bring hell upon you. By not paying respect, you don't get into heaven. This and that, I'm not saying it is wrong or right but it is a noticeably common practice among many religions.

For those who have Netflix and have not seen it, there is a documentary that I HIGHLY recommend watching, it is called "Selling God". It will open your eyes on how religion has managed to literally sell itself to the people to grow and how it grows.

What is your take on it? Do you think it is ludicrous that they are bringing people in through fear or to those religious, that it is a necessary step to bringing about understanding?

i really understand that religion is evil...they found a way to control people by paying the church or the mosque or what ever chruch and temples etc.. are more tradition or culture than actual life/love of christ..but let me tell you that god isnt evil religion is a man mad thing...I think very few anthiests deny the love of god in truly deeply in their hearts if you don’t believe that theres anything spiritual in this world then yu gotta wake up I think atheists have more of a problem with getting controlled and by religion, relgion is bad but god isn’t I don’t like getting controlled ethier

While I agree that most true religions have similar foundations (love one another, do unto others as you would have them do to you, etc.), I would not agree that all religions are equal or right.* There are many cults out there that encourage self-denial or mutilation--take Jim Jones, for instance.* They all killed themselves at his command.* The Branch Davidians (ms?) did the same thing.*

You say "as long as we behave"...that is a relative term.* What do you mean by "behave"?* My definition may not meet yours.* The Christian Bible denounces homosexual marriage...if I behave in that manner, I will not receive a spot in heaven.* The same for abortion or capital punishment...does that apply to the "Thou shall not kill" factor?* Many religions denounce killing...yet we as humans practice this in different ways...mercy killings of terminal patients, death row inmates, abortion, etc.

There is too much to consider to make a blanket statement about religion.

Glad you came up with this :y:

The definition of religion: "The belief in and worship of a superhuman controlling power, esp. a personal God or gods"

As far as I'm concerned, anything that promotes false belief and negates reasoning is negative irrespective of anything else.

Not to mention how much religion has damaged our society over the last few thousand years and continues to do so.
