Why is this?

Sometimes I get to around 40 second at max. I held my breath for just over 1 min 30 seconds .. And I could feel the blood moving around and my heart beating and slowing down?

Aha I know, but does anyone clever person have an answer ? I have a theory.. But it might be wrong ?

You breathe ALOT heavier when stoned .. So maybe it's because of that ?

Really you can hold your breath for probably almost 3 minutes, but your body sends the pain impulses through you to struggle and try to breath much sooner than that. When you're stoned you don't feel as much pain or care nearly as much about the pain so you're able to get closer to the 3 minutes before you feel the pain.

It's because you're more relaxed obviously, your body is doing less so is able to use the oxygen more efficiently so you can hold your breath longer, I just managed to hold my breath for 1 minute 40 seconds before posting this and that's pretty normal for me.

Hyperventilate for about 20 seconds before you hold you breath and you'll be able to hold for a longer time than usual as well.
