My point there was that thousands of people get locked up in asylums for having imaginary friends and people consider them crazy, yet they believe in the exact same thing.
That is the downfall of our society. Not everyone who believes in an imaginary friend is crazy. Some people are. Some people are not. The difference in religion is that people do not consider God to be a real, and tangible being within our world. He is real, but does not have a body we can see. People who have imaginary friends often have delusions of an actual being, with a body, and personality. Someone that they can touch and feel. The belief in God does not lie in the belief that there is someone with a body here next to us, interacting with us. He exists within a different realm. When we pray to Him, we are not speaking to in imaginary being standing in front of us.
Now, this is all the way I believe. Many people of religion would disagree with me.
