I am just looking for the Christian users of NGU.

I am a firm believer in Christ. And I know what his grace feels like.

Please, if you're a Christian, either post here or friend me.

If you are not Christian, you can ignore this thread and I hope you live a good life. (No sarcasm)

The bible contradicts itself quite a lot actually, it depends on how you interpret it though, it's not supposed to be taken 100% fact, most of it is just parrable's to teach the reader of the kingdom of god.

Some guy came along out nowhere and created everything, and some guy called Jesus is his son, that was in a cave, and somehow rolled the rock away, and vanished. Bullshit. I'm happy about that though, thanks for my chocolate eggs. :carling:

I don't believe god created everything in the world, but I think he had something to do with it.. anyway when Jesus was executed he was buried in a tomb donated by one of the pharisee's (I think he was in that group anyway, he was a follower of jesus anyway). There was a rock to guard Jesus' body but people still visited to prepare his body with flowers and stuff so the rock could have easily been moved at that time by the two guards and they may have discovered that he disappeared. It's really a test to how much you can and want to believe, you don't have to believe everything the church says, plenty of christian's object it's teachings at times.

Do you not think It's sad that so many believe stuff out of a book? There are some people who will completely give up there life to dedicate themselves to 'god' I think It's sickening. The church could tell people to kill themselves and god will love them or something and they would do it. I think I'll rather stay a non-believer, less hassle, I think everyone be a non-believer, life would be so much easier.

How is it bad that people give up their lives?! They believe that if they're good in this life, they will have a good life in the next.
Religious people (not just Christians) who give their lives up to help people improve the world greatly. Edmond Rice is an example of this, he was one of the richest Catholics in Ireland a few centuries ago and when his wife died and his daughter was born handicapped he decided to dedicate his life to helping children and reducing poverty. I go to a school built by Edmond rice now actually, lol. He definitely has helped and started a revolution in Ireland of reducing poverty. There is much more examples of this around the world as well.. a country in India ( I think ) expelled all Christian nuns and priests from the country and told them to stop teaching the children... today those leaders are begging for the church to actually come back and help them.. even if you don't believe in religion, religous people are still improving the world greatly today.

I help people a lot, I've donated a lot of money to charity, to hospitals, I've gave a lot of money that I've raised to a nearby hospital. You don't need to be a Christian or believe in a religion to do so. Everyone should be kind, and help people out. Christians help people out because they believe they'll have a good life when they die. I help out people because I simply want to help people out. People should help the less-forunate regardless of there religion and if they aren't religious (like me) Christians do help a lot of people out, but at the same time they're doing it because of 'god' and they should do it because they want to, not just because they'll have a good life after. I've spoken to Christains before at my behavior school that's actually named after a church (Panmure st. Anns) And they said they help people out because they want a good life after. Like really? You don't even want to help them out and you're just going to do it for this life after death. Yawn.

Of course you don't have to be in a religion to help people and do good deeds I was just stating that religious people who give their lives up to help others do it for a reason Smile. I don't see anything wrong with believing you'll get something back for it, this life lasts 80 or so years for people and longer if you are lucky, the after life which people believe in lasts forever (beliefs of course) no one knows what happens to us after we die, we have to find out ourselves.
Nice conversation we've got going here Enzo

I agree. The way people act towards other religions is disgusting. Wherever you go in the world it exists. People disagree about religion and they fight and hiss and attack and belittle. It's not right.

Exactly why it should be done away with Winky Winky

Have you ever even read the bible? Every second paragraph contradicts the last...

When will you pull your head out of your tightly clinched ass Winky Winky Religion is NOT the problem. It is mans selfishness and self importance. Man can disagree on ANY matter. So lets do away with politics, morals, and ALL personal opinion! Then we will never disagree and we can all be fucking robots! When will you stop making ignorant comments and save yourself from exposing your stupidity to the public? You have repeatedly shown your ignorance already. It's really not necessary to keep doing it.

One step at a time. If there is something pointless that causes so much hate, wars, and crime then get rid of it.

I don't see wars happening over politics, except in cases in the middle east where there was extremely corrupt dictators and what did the people do? They got rid of them. And I would argue that people who don't believe in God share the same morals or have even better morals.

And please, explain how I am ignorant for thinking something that causes pointless wars, hate crimes, murder etc. should be done away?

Or even just not have parents force a religion onto their children, let the children make up their own mind when they are older.
I guarantee that most people would continue being atheist if at the age of 18 they were first taught about religion.
