Look at some quality tests of both on Youtube, I personally think the HD PVR is better quality the Roxio game capture is cheaper though Smile

I know the PVR is better quality but the Roxio is cheaper and the quality is pretty good.

I'll probably just get a PVR :/

Having said the Roxio game capture is cheaper, in recent times the price for the pvr has lowered slightly. Also - If you use hdmi, the HD elgato is worth taking a look at.

The difference between the HD PVR (normal) & the HD PVR (gaming edition)

Well the normal one has a blue light when recording, the gaming edition has a green light when recording.
The normal one doesn't come with component cables but the gaming edition does.
That is all really, apart from some small little things.

Get a HD PVR because you its far better quality to the Roxio (I think anyway).

Yes you can play in 1080p with the Roxio via HDMI but you don't really notice it.

Overall - Buy the HDPVR, little more money but worth it.

No not really lol.

If you don't want to spend that kind of money, keep an eye out for anyone selling one on here. I know someone who still might be selling his.

Well a normal PVR isn't as HD as the HD PVR, hence the name. Even if you are using an HDMI cable, it will only improve the quality slightly as if you use and HDMI cable on a HD PVR you nearly get stunning graphics.
Personally man I would go for the HD PVR, yes it is a bit more, but trust me when I say this, it is so much better. But man in the end it's up to you!

Good luck man and tell us what you are getting when you have finished thinking about it. =D
