You'd probably be surprised to know that it's actually quite engrossing and oddly stimulating. At least that's what the stranger inside of my conscious seems to think.
(Before you establish any rash conclusions, realize that I am strongly against incestual relations and have NOT committed any act relatively similar)

This is not a trolling thread. The question is if a man has sexual intercourse with his step mom it incest? Moreover, is it incest if say when your were born, your bioligical mother abandoned your/ you got adopted, and the mother treats you like a real mom (but not biological).
But in response to the thread, relations between non-biological mothers and their children are not considered incest according to human law.
The textbook definition of incest is as follows:
Unlawful sexual contact between persons who are biologically related. Many therapists, however, use the term to refer to inappropriate sexual contact between any members of a family, including stepparents and stepsiblings.
Now the legal definition:
Offences committed under the Incest Act, 1567. This could be construed as sexual intercourse with ascendants up to great-grandparents and descendants down to great-grandchildren, with brothers or sisters, nephews or nieces, aunts or uncles. The offence is committed where the relationships are of half blood as well as full blood.
Ethics and divine law are in a completely different field. We all have a sense of morality which is partly influenced by social convention (as we wouldn't know if a line is crooked if there wasn't a straight line to compare it with). Obviously there are stark differences in what is considered socially acceptable throughout different ages and civilizations, but regard for divine law is heavily (if not entirely) personal. For as long as their actions do not violate human law, whether people choose to be devout to their moral code is an entirely personal conflict and decision.
