First choice would be iPhone 4s, but if you don't want apple go for the Samsung Galaxy 2 or 3. My girlfriend just got one, replacing her iPhone 3gs, and she loves it!

Jailbreaking you iDevice opens a whole new world of apps and tweaks.

Btw, 4s is not worth the extra 100$. I'd say go with iPhone 4 and wait for 5. :y:
