This is my opinion,
Women, in todays U.S are generally spoiled. The average teenage girl, is not exactly going through the hardships of that of an adolescent girl in the 19th centurty. I remember in middle school, i had a pre algebra teacher. Now he would be basically a dick to the guys. He would give more attention to the girls, and they can all the questions they want. Now this is my personal experience. I am also for equality, however i feel the women of the modern u.s society have more than enough, and i find that any feminist movement in regards to more rights, is ludicrous. Its getting to the point where a women is better treated than a man based on her body. Therefore, unless the argument is in third world/backwards countries, women have enough rights. They are actually starting to abuse them.

But in all seriousness, you are very right and wrong at the same time. Yes, women receive special treatment, but as guys, we have many benefits. If you get a girl pregnant at 17, who do you think is going to not go to college and take care of the kid? The guy or girl?
I know a girl, 4.0 gpa, honors, all that shit. She got pregnant and is dropping out of because the kid takes up all her time. The guy who did it moved and has nothing to do with the baby anymore.
On top of that, they have a period every month. That, in my opinion, makes it all worth being a little sexually profiled...
The whole only women suffer in pregnancy story is complete bullshit. I am going to speak in the idealism, that the man should stay for his future child. The first is simple, a women has the option (without any consent of the man) to get an abortion (unless she is a minor). So their are many choices, and many routes to avoid a child. Moreover, the guy generally busts his hump providing for the girl, and the girl is the one who will receive a vacation. Im not going to lie, it is hard carrying the weight, and the biological disorders are a nuisance. But the man has plenty to deal with (horemones, being their, etc). As for you friend, your friend had and still has many chances. My EX wanted me to have a kid and get married with her, i declined what she said because their is so much to live for in life. If she is "booksmart" that is fine and dandy for her, a GPA is a mear decimal. Their are complete idiots that have graduated from harvard. But to name a few here are some options off the top of my head 1.Abstinance 2.Condoms 3.Birth control 4.Day after 5.Abortion 6.Adoption 7. Finding the will to do school and be a mother 8. Getting the guy to pay bills 9. Putting the burden on the parents. The way i see it, she is throwing her own life away and although some of those options can be seen as morally incorrect, it is her fault the child is simply a detail.
