(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); So I watched The Wizard of Oz yesterday and two things kind of hit me. The Wicked Witch of the West isn't even the villain and the entire thing is a hallucination.

Think about it, after Dorothy, crushes the Wicked Witch of the West, WWW comes only to take her dead sister's shoes as an inheritance and all of a sudden, Glinda damns Dorothy for the rest of the story by giving her the shoes and just disappearing. Not only does she give her the ruby slippers, but she makes sure to notify WWW about it. Glinda goes on to tell her that the Wizard will be able to help her when in the end, all she had to do was tap her shoes and mumble some words.

Onto my dream theory. Now of course the movie practically makes it known it's a dream, but there's more to it than just the waking up from a concussion. Dorothy comes into this technicolor land where flowers are laughing at her, munchkins are singing to a death, Glinda (the so called good witch) comes from a bubble, the Wicked Witch of the West comes from some red smoke, and there's a yellow brick road that is in spirals rather than straight forward. I just thought they made it VERY clear she was on a bad trip!

But yeah, haven't seen the movie since I was a little kid so I thought it was kind of cool to notice all these things I didn't really think about back then :p

Honestly have no idea what your talking about in this thread, but I'm downloading Wizard of Oz now to try make sense of it =D

Haven't seen the movie in like 10+ years lol, need to refresh my memory! I can't remember any of it!

There was a sequel called 'Return To Oz' or something like that, it's been a while since i've seen it but i'm pretty sure at the start of that they say she's having hallucinations but can't remember if at the end it's established Oz is real or not

Yeah I VERY vainly remember that movie. If I recall, it sucked haha
