(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Hey guys, I'm 16 years old (Currently in grade 11, second last year of school) and I'm dying to go to the USA next year to finish my last year of school, I just love America in every way, I've always dreamt of going there, especially for the acting side of things, i dream of becoming an actor (I don't give a fuck if this sounds gay, I love vagina very much Winky Winky ), and well what better place to go than to America? I was just wondering, like I have barely got shit planned at all, It's nearing the end of the year already, and I have no clue where I'd stay, does anyone know of any cheap people offering boarding? I need a place to stay, at least for two months, so I can find another place, it's just for next year, as next year is my only chance to experience American High School, I have plans of going to college there too (College Parties FUCK YEAH!). So the moral of this thread is to ask if anybody knows of people offering cheap boarding/rooms. Prefferably in the LA region, as I may be attending the 'Acting Corps'.

Cheers <3

Ok well school just started here so if you come now you'll be good to go. The acting part will completely fuck you in the ass. I live in LA (Where hollywood is ;p) and like 5% actually make into the acting business and usually those people grew up acting and are all ready rich enough to live on their own with out a job. So please don't come over here with your acting dreams because you'll not only disappoint yourself but you'll end up homeless. And for the boarding thing, you wont find anywhere for cheap and you have to bring your parents over here and live with them atleast until your eighteen unless someone adopts you which i highly doubt will happen. Sorry to ruin your dreams bro.

Not only does it cost a fortune for us to go to college compared to other countries such as Canada (really good education for 1/3 of the price of US colleges), it will cost you even more as an international student. Probably 1.5x-2x as much as non-international students. I strongly suggest finishing college in Australia, or even Canada, and THEN moving to the US to pursue an acting career.

I plan on attending college in Canada even though I am an US citizen.

Most likely, that's do to the fact that you don't live here. Do you like Australia? I bet not, or you probably wouldn't be moving here. I have always wanted to move to California or Florida, but I have talked to some of my friends that moved there and have told me that it's not all as great as they say it is on TV and other things like that.

Anyways, I am not saying America is crapy or lame, because it can be at times to be honest with you. That last post, I was mostly joking on that one. I do wish you the best of luck though in your new life. I just recenetly moved away from home and I'm 20 and at times..it really really sucks. Especially if you don't know anyone at all because I don't, so it gets boring and lame and not very fun and I do get home sick a lot. I have even thought about moving back home, but I'm like eh, I'll just stay, because I mean I think everyone gets a little home sick when you move out of mommy and daddys house for the first time after living with them for 18-19 years, it sucks!

In conclusion, as I said before, I wish you the best and just make sure you don't get mixed up with the wrong kind of people, because once you do, it's hard to get out. Smile

Thanks for the advice dude Smile and I absolutely LOVE Australia, but I love America too and I've always dreamt of going there, I even used to name my favourite park as a child 'America', and I used to scream at my mum to tell her to take me to america! hahaha.
