Everyone in Iran uses proxies and still gets on internet to sites like Facebook, YouTube, etc. Plenty of people there wear skinny jeans and sun glasses. Barbie dolls are definitely allowed as a saw a bunch in malls. As for movies like Harry Potter, 300, and Batman, there's a person at every corner selling pirated movies :p
I went there with my friend once. Actually a pretty nice place. People are friendly, the food is DE-FRICKEN-LICIOUS, and there's nice little mini marts at every corner. People in America just thinks it's this terrible place when it's really not. They value family there more than anything which earned another :y: from me.
