They shouldn't combine at all. If there was one console then there would be no 'variety' in gaming. With three consoles you can choose what you want to do. For example, the Wii is the party console, used to have fun with friends and family, not for major gaming/competitions like MLG. That is why the majority of people here think the Wii sucks, not realising it is the most sold console.
Then you have the PS3, the multi media console you could say. Access to the internet, blu-ray and so on makes it different to the Xbox 360.
The Xbox 360 is just mainly the gaming console until Sky and Netflix. On the Xbox, you don't have the 'miscellaneous' add ons like the PS3, it's a straight out gaming console. But that will change when the new features of sky/netflix and Facebook/Twitter/Myspace come out.
Combining wouldn't make a better console anyway. The size of it would be ridiculous. Try placing the Xbox 360 components into the PS3 or vice versa. Not going to fit.

I think they should combine. Graphix SHOULD be awesome. But you don't know until you try.
The graphics wouldn't change at all. Just because you combine two/three consoles together the technology available doesn't change. Both the PS3 and Xbox 360 uses the latest (and same) technology available.
