btw i bought the game from bestbuy and got the code from their and just redeemed it on ps3 so i didnt buy elite separately i bought it with the game

What probably happened here is that OP bought Elite Premium a little while after its release(after November 13th I assume) and since Elite Premium will no longer exist and that subscription would therefore be void before the agreement of 12 months they decided to fully refund him. Well done OP
