By overheating you mean burning to death? I would rather die almost any other way than burn to death..

I'd take freezing any day. You get so cold you go to sleep and die while you are sleeping.

And during extreme cold, your body numbs up so you dont feel pain.

If I was walking in the desert I would pull a Bear Grills:
