If you were hanging around Bungie's booth during PAX, you might have noticed a familiar face. Mega Man creator Keiji Inafune was interested in getting a closer look at the studio that's responsible for the upcoming Halo 3 ODST, so he decided to drop by their booth during the show.

"Bungie is an amazing studio that has made incredible games. So I was always curious about how they made their games in hopes of being up to add some of the flavor into Capcom games," Inafune told the offical website"Also, I wanted to come down to Bungie in order to see just how well our philosophies on game design matched up. If things clicked, I know it would be interesting to collaborate together on a title in the future."
Capcom has a history of collaborating with other developers on high profile projects, having previously worked on the Legend of Zelda:Oracle of Ages and Seasons games, as well as the Gundam Vs. series for Namco Bandai. There won't be a Capcom-developed Halo game anytime soon, but with Bungie moving on to new projects after Halo Reach, a collaboration of some sort is clearly not out of the question.
