Those of you that use WLM/MSN, say good bye unless you live in China! Microsoft says that WLM will officially be turned off March 2013.

WLM has been around sense 1999 and Microsoft will now "retire" WLM/MSN and you can now sign in to Skype using your Microsoft Account (Windows Live ID) and password and chat with friends on Skype on your WLM Contacts. Microsoft is providing a tool to migrate WLM contacts over to Skype.

The number of users activly using WLM has droppped insotanisly over the past couple of years and this is one of the main resons WLM is being Shut down.

MSN

I used to use WLM, or MSN Messenger as it was called back then, a long time ago as my main chat software along with AIM. I haven't really used it though for a long time. I actually haven't used any chatting programs in a long long time except maybe Skype a couple times here and there.

i cant even remember the last time i used msn, id much rather use skype over it anyway

That is exactly why they are shutting it down. :/. I wasn't ever a fan of WLM anyways.
