I used to have both until my PS3 broke (again).

My experience is, whichever console most of your real life friends are on is the one that's a better choice.

For me that was the PS3 and now that it's broken, I'm having to use my Xbox (which isn't bad at all). I just would rather have a PS3 due to my friends and it's awesome exclusives.

So true.. I remember when my friend got BF3 for his Xbox. I brought my PS3 to his place and played it while he had to install the textures or some shit from the second disk lol.

I'm not a fan boy of Xbox I own both of them but this is a common misconception of Xbox. I played PS3 for about 4 years and now I have played Xbox for 2 years in those two years I have only ever had one game that had two disks. Many of the Halo games do but as I don't play Halo the only game being Max Payne 3.

I've had both for about 2 years. I'll be honest and say I've been using my PS3 most of the time. Why? Just because my friends have it. But I definitely think the Xbox Dashboard and Xbox LIVE are much much better than PS3 services. Cross game chat, better connection, nicer and faster GUI. I love it.

If all your friends are on Xbox, get an xbox. You'll probably end up enjoying it a lot more.

I asked for a PS3 for christmas while I still had an Xbox, which all my friends have, and it just so happens my Xbox (old model) got RRoD again right before Christmas. I got RRoD before on that Xbox, but I somehow fixed it with a variety of different methods for a good 6 months or so. I was stuck with only PS3 and 5 games (4 single-player and Black Ops 1) for 8 months after that and it was boring as hell. Thank god I got rid of the PS3 and got a 250 GB Xbox (new model). I'd never go back to ps3.

Actually your friends play a big role in this like said before.
Why bother buying a console to play with strangers if you can also play with your friends.

Thats why I bought a PS3. The blu ray player is fun, but I actually never used it before.
If there is only ONE thing I could change, it would be the controller. The XBOX controller is so DARN good. After 1 hr playing the ps3 controller I just want to kick it out of the window. Throwing isnt even possible anymore.....
