(she starts crying that her day is ruined, it wasn't the fact it was the necklace, it was about how bad her brother treats me)

So she is ruining her make up and new dress, so i just leave and get to london as fast as I can and buy her a new one.

By the time we eat its gone 11, and her 18th birthday is ruined, making me feel like **** to.

i then confronted her brother outside, what lead to a fight and I gave him a black eye.

her parents said he deserved it, but now he hates me more than ever.

Ive invited him out for a drink to talk on christmas day with his dad and my girlfriend, but i do not know how to impress a to big for his boots popular kid.

i cant even go to their house without the brother kicking shit (Parents love me tho)

Well to start things off I felt bad when you said your gf's brother broke her necklace . What a douche. If he broke something that means a lot to her it was most likely to break her spirit or to belittle you (at least from my perspective it would look that way). If he's the older brother this would make more sense since the older sibling usually seems to have a sense of superiority. When he saw how good his sister has it (her boyfriend taking her on a night out in London etc.), he probably blamed the first person he thought made it possible, which would be you. So, my best guess would be he's acting out of jealousy, which could possibly be fueled by sibling rivalry? I only assume this because If my younger sister was in a relationship and I wasn't, I'd be miserable . My sister gets all the attention in my family and I cant stand it! It's immature of me I know, but that's how it is for me. My advice would be to bite the bullet and try being his friend, or at least find some common interests between the two of you.

He probably thinks the way you feel for her isn't real. He is probably looking at it in his own perspective and thinks maybe you are just using his sister? Just sounds like the typical overprotective brother.
