(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); a leaked Toys R Us catalog showed an upcoming $50 USD Wii price cut, and just yesterday, a leaked newspaper circular showed a Best Buy ad with the same price cut and a September 27th date. Today, Nintendo is finally officially confirming the price drop, saying so during a retailer conference call. The "official" date is in fact the 27th despite Nintendo not going public with the information just yet. We shall see this week.

This is actually good news for those who prefers Wii than PS3 Slim or Xbox. It's about time that Nintendo joins the trend by lowering their prices as well. Now that Thanksgiving is just a few days away, it's a good deal for everyone.
