So looks like many ISPs like Verizon and Comcast, etc. have finally implemented the six strikes plan on Monday which absolutely sucks because I use to download a lot of stuff to preview before I would buy, etc. So this has really effected me. People are now getting their internet speed throttle and even removed for a set period of time, etc. I believe this will cause more problems. What do you guys think about all this?

True but there's some things you can't buy and can only get from downloading. Also I wonder what is considered a strike. Is streaming a song on YouTube a strike? Using torrents is a obviously strike but does it count as each song or a album or the total downloads after a period of time? who knows. I know for a fact that millions of people illegally download so you can only imagine how this will effect everything.
Does downloading MP3s from direct download count as a strike?
Don't quote me... But, I believe the Six Strike Plan is focusing on more of P2P services and clients. After monitoring the content they flag the bad stuff.
Actually here is a video..
Basically kids or teens are going to be hit hardest by this.. Because the alert will go to whoever pays the bill.

Not completely sure but I think it targets everything that's copyrighted so yes...but ISPs wont give you that information. So you are taking a risk. Streaming I believe is legal so use Youtube to listen to songs. Once more information is gathered maybe someone will find a way around this....who knows.
My provider already has this, torrented MW3, next day boom internet off and my step dad got a phone call and I have 2 warnings left before prison. :ha!:

You know it's funny. I'm from the US and it's supposed to be a free country yet, we're becoming more and more communist.

First off, I have a paid VPN service so I'm good on downloading. Second, I have a paid seedbox so I'm good on seeding at speeds of around 30-40MB/s up and around 105MB/s down.
Anyways, just get a good paid VPN service with the server your connecting to outside the US and you're good to go. :y:
