Well you've been around long enough for your opinion to be taken seriously.
Have you gone to senior staff and complained with specific examples of staff abuse?
The site does not want to lose real content providers, but gets too many " general" complaints to dig into seriously.
There seems to be an effort to get some more mature staff members, I suggest you snap some examples of abusive staff in the SB and send them to an admin to be dealt with.

There has been too much effort to drive content contributions to let some who does contribute to leave the site over abuse issues.

I am not bound by the professional standards that Vince has, so I'll say it outright. Deal with it, nobody cares. Things are changing and if you don't like it you have two options: Get off the site or stop complaining. The site has changed a lot in the past 5 years and after EVERY SINGLE CHANGE there have been complaints and after a certain amount of time those have gone away. Elite is a part of NGU.

If you don't like it, don't buy it. Now instead of complaining about shit that doesn't effect you, use the forum as it's meant to be used and go discuss gaming or engage in conversations with the community in the shoutbox.

I have seen this site grow and grow, and a lot of changes along the way, Some good, some not so much.
But the general idea of the forum has stayed more or less the same.
There is not many of us original members left now, that are fairly active anyway.And the ones that are active know that changes are good for the site to stay alive.

I am probably old enough to be most of you guys dad, and to understand frustrations,and sometimes you just can't help releasing them.

I have seen staff abuse their power, but generally they are pretty damn good and polite in their actions, always respond in a very high and decent manner, so i find it hard to believe that any member of staff would of treated you the way you said they have, but hey, i don't judge or take sides here.

Not my thread and i don't want to step in somebody else's toes.

Just put it behind you and move on.After all, this is a friendly community and you only live once, make the most of it
