I got it brand new for $14k, and I drive 45 minutes to work every day, then 45 minutes home. So I needed the gas mileage, not the luxury. Besides, I'm married, who the hell am I trying to impress anymore..lol..

why u no get a honda or toyota?

I actually traded a Civic Hybrid for the Sonic, cause that Civic Hybrid was absolute garbage. Might as well have owned a Ferrari, cause every time the Hybrid broke down, either [a] people didn't know how to work on it (cause the Hybrid technology was still new) or it was expensive as hell to fix cause it was a Hybrid, and it could only be done at a certified dealership cause of the computer boards and whatnot.

I did look at some other Hondas and Toyotas, but for $14k brand new (it literally had 2.4 miles on it, when I drove it off the lot), I wasn't going to argue. Used cars around me were going for that much.

I don't believe this. An Si, which that thing isn't, of that generation makes around 160 HP. So without anything obvious being done like a swap or turbo, I don't see how it can make 190, let alone 230. And just an intake alone would probably make you lose power. The stock factory air box has proven to be better than an CAI on those cars without any mods. Post pics of the heart of the car (engine) cuz I'm real curious to see...

EDIT: I should have added, when we bought the car the OO had already put in a b series motor. Not sure what else he did exactly, but I should've mentioned that before, lol.
