(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Let's just put this as simple as possible. All my friends including myself are console gamers. Well, lately I've been taking interest in PC gaming (mainly Battlefield and DayZ/ArmA) so I've been thinking about making the transition except one thing, my friends won't be coming with me so I feel as if I won't enjoy myself as much as I should. I just can't decide.

Or you could realistically just do both? Play the few games you like on pc when your friends aren't on. When they are play with them.

If gaming with friends is a huge staple in what you do and the enjoyment you have in gaming, then don't do it. Although being a PC gamer I'm sure you could meet e-buddies and that, or just convince your friends that PC is the way to go. Only you know the answer to this haha, weigh the pros and cons, but like I said, If you play games to virtually hangout with your friends as a big factor in your enjoyment, gotta stick with the consoles.

I guess you're right, me and my friend are pretty damn close, I mean I bought my friend the Ghost season pass. Which that's another thing, my friends mainly play CoD, I've fallen away from it and they still enjoy it. I'd still have contact with them, but I can't enjoy the fun times.

Why not keep both? You don't have to sell or get rid of your console, you can leave it there when you want to play with your friends. I would balance my time out on gaming on PC and gaming on console.

PC gaming has a number of plus points, but it also has a range of downsides.
For example, some games are bad ports lacking any real option menus or broken on PC.

The broken port example NFS rivals, which on PC run at 30fps if you force the game to run anything higher it breaks the game, this was due to how the engine was designed for physics. Great port EA!!

That said, a couple PC titles look a ton better if the textures are higher quality. Take for example, Crysis 1 it looks insane on PC with it's fancy textures. Crysis 2 not so much the title was rushed had less good texture quality on PC.

So you need to be careful what you buy.

Some games are great on PC with a controller other games not so much.
This is going to be unpopular, but BF4 is a console title made for PS4/Xbox one. A ton of things on PC version which are just godly bad design choices like battlelog. Also the PC version has a range of bugs and issues just made for PC.
As for arma that a military simulator which means it's a very slow game. Sounds cool in theory but unless you want to spend 30mins walking and 2mins firing a gun. Yea....

If you have the space I would buy a PC for certain titles which are better for PC and a console version for games which are better for that version or if your mates have it.

Well you can thank the console community for dumbing down games. They have to make them run on shit hardware then port it back to pc. However this is dice and the problems we are having with bf4 have existed since Battlefield 2. The only reason they are being addressed now is because people are finally getting tired of their shit. These bugs aren't bf4 exclusive.

You can thank a bigger market and people wanting to make money.
It sad end of the day that profit matters more over the product. Wish we would see two sets of devs working on two different games set in the same universe if you did a release on Console and PC.

BF have some strange ass bugs which just carry on.

Bigger market? Wouldn't say that's completely true. It does have the most children though and those are easier to market to. Hell I mean even the mobile market it pushing more towards kids. It's harder to convince someone who doesn't know much about technology to buy their kid a pc vs. a console that will basically babysit them for a few years. I've been there, grew up as a peasant console gamer :(.

More people who will buy poorly made games? maybe. You guys get shoveled alot of bullshit and for some reason eagerly await the next helping. (On disk dlc, the next COD installment which will be 98% of the same shit from the last game and 2% of actual new stuff). Which ruins it for everyone else.

Match making doesn't belong on the pc. Plain and simple
