(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Okay, this is more of as "Rant" thread if that makes any since. Well, I've been playing football for my highschool for the past 4 years. But my coach thinks this more than a High School Football Team. He trains us like Navy Seals. Better yet, the Navy Seals are coming in August for a training day. WTF?! Right?!? Yeah... Last year we won the State Championship and ranked #1 in the State and #16 in the Nation. Now, he want to go back and win it again. (I don't blame him, this ring sure is pretty). But now, we are starting something called v02. v02 is a special training that increases speed, mobility, and endurance. Coming from a lineman/fullback such as myself. I HATE IT! But, I can vouch for it and say it has helped me. I'm a starting left guard and second string fullback and I weight nearly 240lbs and can run a 4.7 40 yrd, and run my mile in a little over 7 minutes.

So, after reading my little rant/complaint story. What does your football team do on the offseason?

Your mother!
Damn, you run a 4.7 while weighing 240!? That's beast dude. Especially since you're in HS, keep it up man. I mean, I get what you mean by the whole v02 sucking and stuff but, if you can run that fast, I'd say do it. It seems to be working whatever you're doing.

I sat on your nachos
I am going to be a senior this year. This is going to be my 3rd head football coach in 4 years. That 3 different offences to learn... Our school obviously has a hard time finding a perfect coach. Good luck this season. I am also an Offensive Guard. Started my junior year.

Way out of high school, but I played some ball. I mainly played soccer so I didn't really ever get to play football growing up since the seasons overlapped. I played soccer on varsity for 4 years, but I also played football junior and senior year on varsity. I wasn't the greatest at it because I was new to it, but I was very athletic so I started at Free Safety. I also played some corner and linebacker depending on the set. I didn't start on offense, but I was worked in at Z receiver and HB situationally. I liked defense better because I liked hitting people; I watched a lot of Sean Taylor's college games and tried to play like him. We never won anything significant but finished with more wins than losses both years. The offseason training was hell because it gets really hot here in the summer. Our coach was really old school so we lifted a lot, pushed prowlers, and flipped tires until our whole bodies were numb. I got out of a lot of practices and workouts for soccer, that was the one condition I made with the coach when he recruited me to play.
