(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({});So I was wondering if anyone else is having similar problems.
So i've had my Elgato for about a year now, and it has always worked fine with no issues.
Then yesterday I plugged everything up and plugged it into my computer and I get the "USB Not Recognized" error. The error code was 403 I believe.
Anyways, so I open the Elgato Capture software and it is telling me to connect my device, even though it is connected. So i search around on YouTube and everyone says to just wrap the cord 2 or 3 times around the Elgato. So I do this and it works, but I don't like it because I know it will fuck the usb port and/or the cord up eventually. But I roll with it for now.
So I turn on my elgato today and wrap the cord around an all that jazz, and now it can no longer connect, i've tried to wrap it tighter, tried wrapping it the other way, etc. Still no fix.
So i took the elagto apart and looked at the USB port and everything seems to be fine, nothing looks broken or damaged.
Well I think I might have actually just found a broken link with the USB port to the board. I think this is what happened to everyone else so they wrap the cord with makes the usb port move inside the case to make the connection just barely touch the board.
When I hook everything up I can still see my screen and stuff, the only thing that doesn't work is the connecting to work on the Screen Capture software
