Calculator, TI-84 with Notefolio Saved my ass multiple times

You fucking know I am, don't cheat, learn your shit and pass it properly.

I cheated once looking at my friend's test and I got caught and got a 0 lmao.

I don't feel like typing out about four paragraphs or more for a story I have about why I think cheating is stupid so I'll just give the tl;dr version.

Junior year I let a couple friends cheat off of me in Chemistry. They weren't the brightest ones, albeit they studied hours on end. Apparently before our midterm our teacher noticed that we were cheating but waited. During our midterm he pulled the trigger, caught us, wrote us up, parents were notified (they were irate about it), and we got expelled because we went to a private school. I tried online after that but said fuck it because at that point I didn't care.

Eventually I went to get my GED, had to pay for the placement test, their mandatory class, and all the test in order to receive my GED. Needless to say during the two weeks I was there in the class waiting to take my test I can safely say my intelligence was insulted by the sheer amount of idiots in the class. It felt good to be out of there, but I still have a GED and it still reminds me of how retarded I was for letting people cheat off me.

That's about as tl;dr as I can get it. Long story short, I got fucked over for cheating. If you go to a public school I suppose they aren't as strict. But I still wouldn't do it.

I use programs on my calculator

I think the only real cheating is if you are actually just copying someones work. Plagiarism is bad, even if it is just copying your friends work. I think that using a calculator for notes/programs or just having a few notes on paper that you made or wrote should be completely acceptable unless it has the actual work/answer in the note, again that would just be copying. I mean look around, in the real world we have the resources necessary to find out how to do anything. Why should people be punished for having bad memorization of an equation? Having an equation to set a problem up doesnt give you the answer, you still have to do the work. If you can't do the work, that is when there is a problem.

anyways, best "helper methods" would be putting programs/notes on Ti-xx calculators, writing notes on your legs if you are wearing shorts/shirt, having a sheet with some stuff on it poking out of a book or something while it is on the floor after you "clear your desk" mostly methods of hiding notes on your body somewhere.

I used to cheat through my phone. I always kept a spare blackberry inside my sock, so when i needed to cheat i'd memorize the question or write it on a different piece of paper (they gave us little sheets of paper that had our info on them) and ask to go to the bathroom. My school was really strict on cheating, you had to have somebody escort you to the bathroom, and everybody was patted down for any electronics. I however came in quite late, so I wasn't. If you want to get away with plagiarism then just simply reword everything on a basic level, or to how you would normally speak, and also to not directly copy paste everything, try to use different sources too. Never copy anything directly word by word.

I've probably developed a mentality from this now, I can't even copy my own work without rewording it a bit, its a good skill to have, but you have to use it very carefully.
