I still can't believe America doesn't have an equivalent to the NHS. The NHS might be much worse than private healthcare, but at least if you have an accident you're not going to get fucked in the ass by fees. One thing I think we should have in the UK is that anyone that ends up in hospital because of excessive alcohol consumption should pay for the treatment themselves, that would be an incentive to make sure they don't fucking do it again, if it's a genuine accident etc. then it's fine but I don't pay taxes so that people can get smashed on a Friday night and get fixed up in hospital having the public pay for it.
