Worth the Weight
I don't care if you want to game on a console. I just don't like it when people talk about PC gaming and are entirely uninformed and see laziness as a good thing (the fact that something is easy to do does not mean it is better). Pretty much anyone who wants to experience gaming the right way should always try at least once to game on PC. If it's not for you, that's fine.

Here's how I would categorize it:

Console - More oriented towards the casual gamers and younger gamers. Those who just want to relax after work or school and shoot some shit. It's also easier to purchase and buy games for without needing to worry about "Can I run this?" or "Do I have everything installed that this game needs?".

PC - More for the people who like a better looking game and a smoother gaming experience. These gamers are generally more experienced with hardware and what is the most up to date stuff to run most games great. Although a lot of PC gamers are just as casual as some console ones but they just prefer keyboard + mouse to play.

Personally for me, it's just whatever you want to play. I don't really prefer one over the other but if I am playing a game nowadays, it's generally on PC just because I don't own any new consoles and I get bored playing on PS3.

Today Will Be Different
Seeing how one of the first games I ever played on the computer was Wolfenstein 3D, I'm going to say PC. I also feel like PC gaming is for everyone, and not just some hardcore gamer. The only hardcore aspect of gaming on PC would be the hardware enthusiast, which I am not.

I tend to discredit the excuse, "I don't think I can use a mouse and keyboard." Anyone can use a mouse and keyboard, if you can write your name fluently then you most definitely have the dexterity to play on PC. Especially nowadays with the technology in keyboards and mice. All you need is a decent keyboard, and a nice mouse, preferably optical and you'll be good in no time. Like everything in life, it takes practice and the more time you dedicate to practice the better you'll get. Eventually you'll have the muscle memory to do flicks, 180 snaps, and other things that you might have thought hard to do.

I'll leave the obvious and clear advantages of PC gaming out. Most people should know them, especially if you're in school and you've done some word processing before. Winky Winky

I like console gaming, but my computer is shit and I can't plug it in and play a game on my couch with a controller, so this is a totally biased opinion. I'd say if my computer could run Battlefield 4 and I had it rigged to play as accessible as a console, I'd be down for PC gaming whenever it wasn't an exclusive title (getting XBox for Halo, for example). But I enjoy all platforms. I play Uncharted, Kingdom Hearts, InFamous, etc. on the PS3 - Halo, Fable and Gears of War on the XBox, MMOs on PC and for other games it's usually a toss up of what I feel like playing at the time.

I just recently bought a PS4 for the sole sake that it'd be cheaper than a gaming PC.

Both, I use a PC for things like Skyrim and Fallout so I can mod the fuck out of them and I prefer playing FPS games on console as it doesn't feel right using a keyboard and mouse for those type of games.

I will admit, some of the console exclusives have been fun to play. Main reason why I got a PS3 was for InFamous and Uncharted, then Heavy Rain came out, oh man.

Yeah, I once came across a PC elitist though toting on about emulators, as if the selection for console exclusives on the PC was worth a damn. Exclusive titles are easily the number one reason to buy a console. There won't be so many exclusives in the future of gaming though, it doesn't look like, which is beneficial for the cross-platform gamers who can consolidate their future purchases.

I use both because there are games I can get on pc but not on console and vice versa. Console is great for playing with friends and pc is good for more competitive style of gaming and modding games without jailbreak or sometimes games allow for modding intergration.

Consoles are good just to play with friends.

PC is only good just because of teh graphics.
