Depending on the actually reasons why we are in the Middle East in the first place would really help me decide the answer to this question. But as I am not part of our (the US) political party or armed forces, I really don't know how to answer this as I technically don't know the reason we are there in the first place.
"They" say we over there because of the War on Terrorism. Well my opinion on that is simple, there is so much terrorism that goes on throughout the world daily, why seclude ourselves to this location? (The Middle East)
I am all for helping another human in anyway shape or form. Regardless of race, sex, religious beliefs... We are all human! So if, we are over in the Middle East to help the civilians overcome something that is greater than my mind can image, I'd say yes. We need to be over there. But not just there, the entire world really.
Just my opinion though. And I noticed you didn't state how you felt, so I will ask.
What do you think of the US being in the Middle East?
