(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Lets talk about Playstation Now and what Sony could do to improve the service along with the problems I see the service facing.

Sony picked up the technology by buying up Gaikai company rebranded service/technology to Playstation Now.
Service offers a range of titles from a library with renting of titles also on offer.
Massive range of devices are being supported with the service from game consoles to TVs. Digital sales are growing within the gaming industry with companies pushing more and more digital content.
Sony wants to expand the number of digital sales the company needs to make digital a competitive.
Steam for example offers competitive prices, Playstation digital store pricing is less than ideal.

Library
Sony are offering PS3 titles, 100 titles are currently on offer.
Here is the biggest problem facing the service 100 titles are only on the service due to the publishers allowing it. That is the core problem with the service fact publishers have control over the content. Any of the publishers could remove the games off the service at any time.

Problem with the policy publishers have to make a deal with Sony. Even if you're Playstation certified you still have to get certified once again to join Playstation Now. If Sony wants the service to be a success needs to fix the library problem.

Most obvious way of fixing this problem is making it so that every title which becomes certified automatic gets added to the service, store and released on playstation platforms. Sony could give some great terms for automatic joining the playstation platform.

Pricing
Playstation Now has gone under quite a change when it comes to pricing with the service now offering a better deal even with the limited library. Sony should however offer heavy discounts for rentals as much I disliked turning demos into a business model.
Would help convert more people into going digital only.

Performance
Of course this is one of the biggest issues which the service is likely to suffer from.
Cloud based gaming services like Onlive are known to have limited take up with performance issues.

Local streaming technology is here to say but remains to be seen if cloud based streaming for games is here to stay. Idea of being playstation certified gets you automatic added to certain services maybe is something Sony should do even if Playstation Now dies.
That my views on Playstation Now don't view the service as a good deal at the moment and have doubts on the performance. Happy Sony has taken a risk expanding on remote play.
