Post: Abortion Arguments!

(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); HEY Y'ALL!

Ok, so I've got to make a speech which is for abortion (pro-choice) and I need some really good arguments which will convince my audience. If possible, can I also get a few rebuttal/responses to some common anti-abortion (pro-life) arguments?

THANKS! Enzo

PS. Please provide sources if you are going to use statistics or unsupported evidence Smile thanks again.

I believe in pro-life, killing an unborn child, even if it doesn't even have a brain or anything yet, still seems wrong in my eyes.

I feel as if abortion is a easy way out for a lot of unplanned teen pregnancies. I'm not going to offer any argument, but for me, abortion is against my beliefs, and should only be done if rape, incest, maternal death (if childbirth would kill the mother), or otherwise, and not because it was unplanned or the parents are terrible. If you didn't want the baby, there's an easy way to prevent it: don't have sex. Treating any turn at sex as a chance of an unplanned pregnancy would be a good outlook...at least then, if something does happen, you would be prepared.

Logically speaking, you're not killing anything as the fetus is not yet a human being because it cannot survive outside the uterus on its own.

I understand you don't think abortion is right but may I ask, in cases of rape or incest, would you still think that abortion is wrong? If so, why? Smile

Right, I understand that, but it would soon be a human.

And yes, I still do think it's wrong, you can always give the child up for adoption if you don't think you can/want to raise it.

This is just like religion, there's never going to be a time where everyone feels the same way. Everyone's going to have their own views and opinions

Personally its a joint choice.

If the lady wants the baby you man up and do your best to provide for the lady and the baby.

This. I know a couple who had an unexpected pregnancy, but you think they would have known what they were doing. Especially since she wasn't on the pill and he wasn't using protection. Anyway, in the end they didn't want to raise their child so they had an abortion. Needless to say I told them how disgusting they are for not taking responsibility for their actions. I truly felt that the father -- whom I will not mention by name -- should have manned up, and offered to provide for his girlfriend, and his child.

Personally, I feel that our generation is weak. We -- not necessarily you or I -- tend to take the easy way out. No one wants to make a commitment to anyone, or anything. If you don't think you'll be able to raise the child, then find a home for him or her. There are plenty of couples on there who can't bear children. My sister actually has a friend who has a medical condition that made her infertile. She was absolutely crushed about it, I'm sure she'd gladly adopt someones child.

If it is rape or incest it's still a living thing, you're still taking life away. Have the baby and put it up for adoption. Pro-life, don't kill what can't help itself...

The to-be father has as much right to choose.
