What is Melbourne Bounce?

Melbourne Bounce is a music genre, and a sub-genre of Electrohouse. Melbourne Bounce consists of many different elements. It usually incorporates an offbeat bass and elements from other genres such as Bigroom & Dutch House. But, as Melbourne Bounce has progressed, artists have been experimenting with different sound. Elements of different genres such as Trance & Dubstep are being combined with the essential elements of Melbourne Bounce to create a new sound


Origins of Melbourne Bounce

Melbourne Bounce originated in Melbourne, Australia. It started to become somewhat known a few years ago, but it has actually been around for something like 10 years. It's not really known who started it but there are a couple of artists who pioneered the genre, such as Deorro (formally known as Ton!c), TJR, T-Rek & Orkestrated. Since then there have been some big acts that have really shaped the genre and done their own thing, such as Will Sparks, SCNDL & Zac Waters
