the one i have is great. it depends how big your tv is, how high up the wall its placed, and how far away your non gamer chair is placed normally

I'd just get a couch if you can, they seem alot more comfortable.

I prefer to sit on my rug, the couch is a bit far from the TV and my eye sight isnt the best xD

Well if you get glasses you wouldn't have that eyesight problem you have there and than technically you could be more comfortable while seeing the game just fine.

I do have glasses, I use them for school only though, looking at a screen with glasses is a pain on my eyes.

I think if you have the extra money then go for it! gaming chairs just make the experience a little better. If you try it out and do not like it i believe most places you can return it with in a week or how ever long it gives you.
