There really isn't proper lighting to catch the moment correctly and the focus of the picture has to be on the banner hanging on the wall stating "Happy 18th Birthday," instead of the man akwardly posing in front of the woman. To be honest, i don't know what i'm supposed to be looking at, the trophies on the shelves or the yellow envelope. I recomend a new photographer MBO.

I don't think you're catching the moment well. What emotion am i supposed to feel through this photo? Ask yourself next time what idea are you trying to put forth with this picture. Also it would be nice if you looked straight, instead of having your face looking a little down. Also, backround scenery would be nice, maybe an aquarium with dolphins or at the playground. This brings in some accenting features into your picture.
