Depends on your definition of a business. I do motorcycle suspension tuning, and ergonomic setup on the side for some people. I just put my name out there in a Facebook group I'm in and they kinda flock then word gets spread around more by them.

id love to start my own offroad welding business. but i lack a space or vehicles to test design and maybe some of the skill since im kinda a shitty tig welder

My business is giving out water bottles to the humanity here on Earth since you know... I'm Hydrogen.

2 people in my family have their own businesses - both started on a Facebook page (one selling custom cakes, the other doing car paints/tuning).

Both charged the bare minimum for the work they were doing (more of a pass time to begin with, but also to get a name & reputation) - then started a website after a couple hundred followers.

Now one owns a line of cake shops & the other is in a big ass contract with the police to do most of the painting/maintenance work on their cars.

Pretty much use social media to your advantage, everyone uses it so why not take advantage of that.
