It's no frozen though because I can actually quit the game through xmb. does anyone have the same issue?

There has been a few people on the Playstation Forum saying things that might help you out.
Someone write the following and if helped a few people out.

"OMG I FOUND A WAY HAHAHa remember launch day update to put game up to 1080p.... I do. All I did was change my video output settings in sound and screen options to 720p. Three days to figure this out. Also I'm not using my old gamertag connected to previous ps3. I created a new one. Hopefull,y this works for y'all. Cod ghost multiplayer here I come."
