(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); My missus has a iPhone 5s and when she sends me emoji emotions I can see them so I must be able to use them on my phone without downloading all different kinds of apps and loading up different sms applications surely?

Does anyone know, is it under a certain language or something?

Nope you need to download an App. With these Apps you can change between normal language and the Emojis. I tried it but it does not work so well for me. Maybe it works on your phone. Smile

In Flames Much?
Android has its own set built into the OS, just need to select it when using the on screen keyboard.

I'm not sure what versions of Android this applies to or if its dependant on your version of Google Keyboard but if you hold the 'Enter' button you will get the option to open the emoji keyboard.

I use Go SMS with an Emoji plugin to do this.

Don't want extra apps for something the phone could potentially do.

Had a little read earlier and apparently it's coming with kitkat 4.4 some phones like the s4 can actually activate it under keyboard settings

Could be but I don't think they will release it before 2014. I know I own a Sony device but Samsung etc didn't release android 4.3 for our devices (eccept Google devices) yet and NOW they want release android 4.4
