(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); I'd like to root my nexus 6. But I have no idea what any of the stuff means after doing so.. I am familiar with ios and jailbreak, but I've recently got an android device and would like to try out rooting.

I myself and a HTC m9 rooted and you can do a lot with it, so it usually for rooting advice best just to search over at the xda forums. They are almost dedicated to rooting, root apps and apps in general.
