My fellow GTA player, many players are experiencing what you have described and its become a big problem within the last couple of hours since online launched. I stumbled across 2 ways over the internet, and with a little help from my friends, you can try and solve the problem.
1. Restart your console completely then try again.
2. When your in an online game and you cant find the trigger, kill yourself or cause mayhem and die. Some people have found when they respawn the marker appears.
