Not sure if this is normal or not, but I deleted all the mods I have and it still does it. I'm trying to re-install it now.

Any ideas if the clean installation doesn't work?

It should work. I too have had that problem before and that worked for me. Once you have finished with the prologue, then try to put the mods in and see if it works.
