For instance if I log on ( its windows XP BTW ) under the general account I can only access the INTRAnet ( my companies own based website ) I cannot venture out to google etc. Now if my supervisor signs on under his log in ( different than mine, with his own username and password ) he can get online and do whatever.

Is there anyway to get access under my account to get online?

Yes, it IS in the correct section. There are a few things you could do: you could make yourself an administrator via command prompt, or you could keylog the computer. Can you get access to command prompt at your work?

I believe I can, but then how would I change accounts? Just ust the XP log on screen? ( the one you can use to type in username and password) using my admin account I created?

Wouldnt the main IT department see that I created an account?

Whenever he said about the Keylog, install one and get the Administrator to login to it, so it's tracing what he types (his password).

Only the admin would be able to do it now most places stop users from being able to make change anything.

Update:
I did the cmd trick. It let me make an account and password. So that worked but it still did not let me get online. Still said access denied. Any idea on what to try now? I did add the new user ( the one i made thru cmd) to the administration group. So it should have worked..
