(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); So I was trying to figure out how to change my IP address and I was just messing about and then I actually did its so I decided to post a tutorial. Please do not repost this on any other forums. If you want to be sure, go to You must login or register to view this content. and copy down your IP Address and then you can check it again at the end of the tutorial.

1) Go to Start > Search > Command Prompt or Start > Control & R > cmd.exe

2) It will open a blank window. Type 'ipconfig', you will get something like this
You must login or register to view this content.

3) Check your Dynamic IP beside Default Gateway, you can see that mine is 192.168.2.1 - Most DIP's will be 192.168.2.X
You must login or register to view this content.

4) Once you know your Dyamic IP Adress, open up a Browser windows (Chome, Firefox, IE, Safari etc) and type it into the URL bar. You will now get a page like this, because I have a Belkin router, it looks like this. It WILL be different for other people but the principle is still the same.
You must login or register to view this content.

5) Scroll down and at the bottom left, there should be a section called Utilites - Click 'Resore Factory Default' - This will reset all of your routers original settings.
You must login or register to view this content.

6) Once you have reset your router, go back to that page. It doesn't matter if you are connected to the internet or not, it will still load. Go back down to the same section and click 'Restart Router'.

7) That's it! You have completely reset your router and your modem, you have been assigned a completely new IP Address and you can sign up for the forums that you're banned one :troll:

[NOTE: THIS REMOVES YOUR ENCRYPTION AND RENAMES YOUR ROUTER. IF YOU HAVE A PASSWORD FOR YOUR ROUTER, GO AND ADD IT BACK IN!

ANOTHER NOTE: It will ask you for your password, it will either be '0000' or there won't be one! Just click continue to skip it!]

Actually, it doesn't. Your IPV4 address is your Dynamic IP, your IPV6 is the one the sites use for you = This changes your IPv6.
