(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Look at it from a company like sony or microsoft or many others, imagine that you spend billions of £ or $ on bring out a film or music or a game and then people just go online and get it for fred, this happens all the time. E.g. Head of crytek said "for every 1 copy of crysis 1 we sold 15 copies where piracyed" so they got 15X less profit than they should of think of it as 1 game is £40 or $60, crysis 1 sold 3,000,000 units, so asumming that 15 is maybe abit exagirated then about 7 million units were pirated, so how about 2.5 X less profit than they should of, how would you feel if that was you. Imagine you won 1 mill in the lottery but only got 100,000 cause the rest was stolen...

Ps yes im from UK so i dont care if it passes or not, but US is know for well erm people stealing stuff....

your wrong because people who pirate the game/movie most likely would have never bought it.

this has always been a fact.

same goes for porn.

I say pirating is bad, SOPA is a good idea but poorly executed....

Watch this video and learn from it (rep for anybody who gets that)

SOPA is a bad law and a stupid law.
Piracy is a problem with business model , if you want to fix piracy you need to fix your business model. Reason why companies are supporting this is because they don't want to change there business model.
Reason why spofity was a success it a new model and counters the piracy. It provides a better service then pirates which is what is needed.
Another was itunes.
But guess what music companies don't like spofity because they can't control and get less money compared to there old model. Which why spofity had to change it terms and because the music companies bullied it too.

Companies which don't want to change should be allowed to die.

Stansy
Who is Stansy?
Leave things the way they are because companies still make insane amounts of money and people (like me) can get what they want for free. Win win.
