This bill will archive EVERYTHING you do online, what you type, what you delete, what you have pictures of, etc, and hold onto it for one year. The purpose of this bill is to supposedly stop child pornography. Although it has a good cause, it will have many bad effects...
The government will have access to this at any time. This will include your credit card numbers if you order anything online, your address and phone number if you share these things on facebook with friends, your passwords for sites such as this, your photos you access or take, and any secure documents. Now this is already a very flawed bill, as the government has no right seeing any of that listed above. All this information will be held in a "secure" government file god knows where. This is where the worst problem lies, in my opinion...
In just the last week, what are some "secure" websites that have been hacked? A few that come to mind is the United States Dept. of Justice, the United States Copyright office, and The FBI's website. I think most people would consider these sites "secure"... Now imagine if Anonymous got there hands on these files, which house our credit cards, addresses, phone numbers, and much, much more...
Here's the link to the bill itself...
