(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); It seems that numerous ISP's around the world ranging from china all the way to the united kingdom have started censoring and blocking out certain webpages for their customers. In this thread I will talk about how you can bypass most of these with simple tweaks or use of software.

You must login or register to view this content.

1) The first one which is the most slowest but works for any form of censorship by downloading TOR. Here's a lil description of what TOR is : Tor (originally short for The Onion Router) is free software for enabling online anonymity. Tor directs Internet traffic through a free, worldwide volunteer network consisting of more than three thousand relays to conceal a user's location or usage from anyone conducting network surveillance or traffic analysis. Using Tor makes it more difficult to trace Internet activity, including "visits to Web sites, online posts, instant messages and other communication forms", back to the user and is intended to protect users' personal privacy, freedom, and ability to conduct confidential business by keeping their internet activities from being monitored.

TOR can be used on a simple flash drive, infact in some work places/schools it can bypass their filters. Just be warned that you shouldn't visit any darkweb sites without caution. Me or NGU cannot be held responsible if you decide to go on and browse the deepweb. TOR doesn't need require any installation but it requires software such as 7zip or winrar to unpack. Anything that you do on TOR will be logged onto the directory where all the files are, so if this happens to be on your USB drive, then all your history etc will be on that and not on the system.

2) Simple proxies

If you just google "glype proxy" or "glype" if your system prevents the usage of the word proxy, you can find a range of glype powered proxy sites. You can keep flicking through each page of the search engine until you find a working site.

3) Use of VPN

VPN's are gaining popularity by the day. More and more people especially those in high-censored countries are switching to VPN's. You can find a Good list of trusted VPN's over here : You must login or register to view this content.

4) Use of browsers

There are many browsers dedicated to bypassing censorship. The two I like in particular are Opera and TPB's browser.

TPB browser : You must login or register to view this content.

Opera : You must login or register to view this content.

To configure Opera to bypass blocked sites, you need to turn on an option called "Turbo mode" follow this :

To use Opera Turbo, find the Opera Turbo icon on the lower left of the screen, on the left side of the status bar. Hover this icon, and it says "Opera Turbo Off". Click on it, and Opera Turbo is enabled. The icon turns blue, and each time a page is loaded, information is displayed about the network savings.

These are just some things that I know off the top of my head on how to bypass censorship. If you know any other way then don't hesitate to quote me. I'll add it on the thread with a link to your profile as well. Smile
