(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); So yeah,
I really dunno if this belongs here, if not just move it please. I'm going online on my PS3 by using my mobile hotspot as I can't use our normal router on my PS3 due to some problems.
So, the problem now is that I 99% can't use force host to host modded lobbies. I get in a blank lobby when searching for a game, and in 99% of all cases no one joins. I only had it once that enough player joined so that the game actually started and I was host.
So I need to get my NAT open. But I'm going online via my iPhone Hotspot, so I can't change anything with ports or stuff. I do own a VPN though with open ports. It's only OpenVPN protocol though, so I don't know how I can get my PS3 to use this VPN.

Summary:
- Need Open NAT
- Using iPhone Hotspot
- iPhone is jailbroken
- Got a OpenVPN VPN with open ports which I could use

Any help?

Its impossible. Your iphone hotspot cannot be altered to be an open nat type.

I know that it's not possible by setting the NAT of my connection itself to open.
But I'd like to know how I can use my OpenVPN VPN with my PS3 as its ports are open, so it grants me an Open NAT (tried it on PC games before, it worked). I could also somehow do something like this:
iPhone Hotspot -> PC -> VPN -> PC somehow does a hotspot for the PS3

I just don't know how I can share my PCs connection with my PS3.

Im pretty sure that by the time you actually got all that to work, the internet that your ps3 would be receiving would be terrible. Remember, its all about ping and by then it would be shit and no one would be able to do anything in your lobby but lag out and lose connection.

iXtazze who is your OpenVPN provider? I have the same problem as you do. Have you found a solution? I always have 1 or 2 bars with COD Online Multiplayer and a Moderate NAT Type. Port Forwarding all the Ports on my router for that game and PSN according to Portforwarding.com did not work. but since my nat type is still moderate is the only reason i say that portforwarding did not work. (should i turn off UPnP on PS3? Do i also have to turn off UPnP on router?) Also I tried finding my OpenVPN's DNS Server number and entering that ip number into my router under DNS Server1, then also entering that number on the PS3 under network settings. ( in the same place where you set your static ip if you try to do portforwarding.) that didnt work and neither did using DMZ instead of Port Forwarding...
I think it really is all about Ping and you just gotta get lucky - or get some homies who will let you Host all the time?
