(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); My college gave us Google Chromebooks.....
Everything was unblocked for like a week or so until they sent an OTA update & blocked a load of things something's were just blocked stupidly.
I was wondering if there is a way around it.
Baring in mind 'incognito' is blocked & ,we can not get apps from the Google web store.

Are there any decent proxys for Facebook,
Netflix,
YouTube

Depends on the severity of the blocks, there are many online web proxies for unblocking websites if you just search stuff like 'proxy' but some of them may be banned. That is all I have really played with but if the Chromebook is yours to take with Administrative rights I believe there to be downloads.

Quick tip for Skype without having to unblock it, if it is connected to a Microsoft account then you can sign into OneDrive and click the message icon top right of the screen to access Skype ^^

I've tried many 'proxy' sites they last like a few hours or a few days until they get blocked and they have some 'security app' in place called 'securely' from the Google Web App Store.

I knew about that thing for Skype but thanks anyway.

I like to connect my phone to the wireless network, setup a vpn, and then tether the connection to the laptop/desktop. Usually using blowfish as the encryptor. Although it is illegal, I still like to access educational sites that the school blocks for no apparent reason. Literally it said "Reason: Not mentioned" if the school actually wants to block the vpns they could...at least from the wireless network we connect to.

Lol... I asked the IT Dept to unblock some needed sites & they're like we don't have the power to only the government does. I said to them lot basically no reason for you lot to be here Happy

Depends on the message being displayed how the sites are blocked and who is doing it.
If it DNS blocking not much you can do to get around that.

The government does only have the authority to, but they have to have people do it for them since they don't know how. I bet if you asked them what an ip address or proxy is they wouldn't know. I don't see why people who don't know what they're talking about gets to control it. Now the IT guy could change it, but would probably get in alot of trouble. I was caught once in the 7th grade for using a vpn and they said that it was illegal to hide my ip address while on government grounds. So instead I bypassed the windows login, got administrative privileges, and was able to access anything under a fake login. Worked out great til my teacher rated me out.
