Post: Cannot jailbreak Ipod Touch 4G on update 5.1

I've jailbroke an ipod 2G, ipod 4g on 5.0.1, iphone 4 on 5.0.1 and even an iphone 4 on 5.1.
However, a recent ipod touch 4g on 5.1 that i just bought is giving me a lot of trouble. I used the programme Redsn0w. After i put it into DFU mode, it goes through the process etc. However wen it gets to the point "waiting for reboot", the ipod reboots BUT it just simply restarts to its normal lock screen while redsn0w is still on that phase. I've tried it several times but still no luck.
I'd be really thankful if someone could help me out. Thank you.

Some devices are much more sensitive to the amount of time you need to hold the buttons. Make sure you are holding the power button for three seconds, the home AND power button for ten seconds, and continue holding the home button until the PC recognizes it. It took me multiple times to do my mom's 3gs
. If that doesn't work, try an official restore then try the jailbreak again.

There is no untethered jailbreak. For this. The latest untethered jailbreak is on 5.0.1.There is a semi tethered though. You must login or register to view this content.
