Post: UNlocking the iPhone 4s

My friend has the iPhone 4s, and I just jailbroke it. It's also a CDMA phone. (Sprint) The firmware is 6.1.1, and I remember when I had my iPhone 4s on 5.1.1, I was able to jailbreak it and unlock it. I can't remember, as that was ages ago. Well, she's trying to unlock it...and I"m dumbfounded. There was a free way via Cydia, but I can't remember...I've Googled, and googled. I need your guys help, because I know there are some genius iOS guys on here. Please quote me so I can figure this out as soon as possible.
I know by unlocking it, she can only use Verizon. I assume her friend who had the phone previously gave it to her for free, it was probably an over due bill or something. So by unlocking it, we can switch it Verizon, or whatever she wants to do. Thanks for your help people.

yeah like he said no more freebie unlocks... cydiahacks does it for like 9$ or something and its completely worth it to me.

You can't unlock it with an app now. You use to be able to use SAM, but that's no longer possible. My iPhone 4S is on AT&T an I did the request online for them to unlock it and they did. Maybe the carrier will unlock it for you're friend as well.
Yeah Verizon told me they'd unlock mine just for leaving the country, and using a certain SIM card. Not any other SIM like an AT&T sim, so yeah, they can suck it. I assume Sprint's is the same way.

I recently bought one, and sadly, it was a scam. Too bad, because it was the FIRST search I got,and I bought it for $27. Fuckers only gave me a download for a jailbreak. No unlocking software. So I called my bank and told them I was scammed, still trying to get that money back.

What's the cheapest route if I want to do my Verizon iPhone 4s, that's on iOS 6.1.2? (and yes. It's already jailbroken.)

I also have a Iphone 4s 5.1.1, I am stuck on Hutchinsons three, I couldn't get hold of the previous owner, so I got a free Three micro sim, jailbroke it and bought a Gevey Ultra S sim, it works great sometimes it fails, but part from that it works when I fix it, I only paid like £7. Now i'm currently on O2 ^_^
